We collect information you provide directly, such as your name and email address when you claim a business listing or contact us. We also collect limited usage data such as pages visited and search queries to improve the platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve Greater Boston Spotlight, process business claim requests, communicate with you about your account, and send transactional emails such as verification codes. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Business Listing Data
Business name, address, phone number, and category information displayed on public profiles may be sourced from publicly available data or provided directly by business owners. Claimed business owners can update or correct this information at any time through their dashboard.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies to maintain your session when you are logged in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics data collected is used solely to improve site performance and user experience.
5. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us at privacy@getonspotlight.com.
6. Third-Party Services
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, Stripe for payment processing, and Resend for transactional email. Each of these services has its own privacy policy. Stripe processes payment information directly and we do not store your full card details.
