Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Greater Boston Spotlight, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Business Listings
Greater Boston Spotlight displays publicly available business information. Business owners may claim their listing to manage profile content. By claiming a listing, you represent that you are an authorized representative of the business. We reserve the right to verify ownership and reject or revoke claims that appear fraudulent.
3. Paid Plans and Billing
Paid subscription plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your billing dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time. Downgrading to a lower tier also takes effect at the end of the current period.
4. Sponsored Content Disclosure
All paid placements — including featured listings, category sponsors, and city sponsors — are clearly labeled as "Sponsored" on the platform. Paid placement does not alter or override the organic ranking of business profiles in standard directory listings.
5. Prohibited Use
You may not use Greater Boston Spotlight to post false or misleading business information, impersonate another business owner, or attempt to manipulate listing quality signals. Violations may result in listing removal or account termination without refund.
6. Limitation of Liability
Greater Boston Spotlight provides directory listings for informational purposes only. We do not endorse or guarantee the quality of any listed business. Your use of the platform and any reliance on listed business information is at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
